Ground Systems Engineer

Ground Systems Engineer

Project performs technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total system. The candidate is required to have a strong engineering background with focus on the development of architectures, CONOPS, interfaces, and requirements with significant domain knowledge in mission technical capabilities and performance.

  • Provide system end to end closure of requirements baseline for ground systems

  • Follow readiness processes for Integration and Closure (I&C)

  • Coordinate with stakeholders across the enterprise including action tracking and follow-up

  • Provide support to system integration of new initiatives for expanded mission capabilities

Requirements:

  • Requires BS/BA with demonstrated experience in IT /Ground Systems. 

  • TS/SCI and eligible for a CI poly

  • Experience with large acquisition systems engineering efforts, methods, and processes

GEOINT Systems Engineer

Position Summary

  • GEOINT Systems Engineering Technical Advisor (SETA) role as a Subject Matter Expert of a dynamic team providing Systems Engineering support to the government stakeholder.

​

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Will be responsible for supporting and/or lead GEOINT integration and closure initiatives for current and future systems through the Systems Engineering lifecycle readiness events and is required to have strong GEOINT systems engineering background and space and ground domain knowledge in customer mission technical capabilities and performance.

  • The selected candidate will provide subject matter expertise and best practices to teams reviewing and assessing CONOPS and architecture products, supporting the review and assessment of requirements for adequacy to meet the mission needs, assessing system and segment schedule and risks, leading readiness and release planning events in support of system acquisition milestones, and supporting the integration of new systems and initiatives in support of expanded GEOINT mission capabilities.

Required Skills

  • Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly

  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline with 8 - 10 yrs of experience, or a Master's with 6 - 8 yrs of experience.

  • Self-starter, proactive in responding to customer needs, ability to work independently and within team environments

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to relate professionally with customers and colleagues

GEOINT Systems Engineer

GEOINT Test Engineer

Project performs technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total system. Analysis are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

The Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance (SETA) will be a member of the End-to-End systems engineering team responsible for developing enterprise and system-level test plans and procedures, reviewing segment level test scenarios and test reports, leading test working groups across multi-organizational groups, and conducting and leading segment and system-level test events. The individual will also be required to track project execution, identify and mitigate risks, brief senior government customers, and work collaboratively in a multi-contractor, FFRDC and government environment

 

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly

  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline

  • Domain experience in Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), or Commercial IT programs

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to facilitate meetings with multi-organizational stakeholders, understanding explicit and implicit deliverables

  • Proficiency applying SE&I (e.g., processes, IV&V, and transition, risk and readiness management)

  • Self-starter, proactive in responding to customer needs, ability to work independently and within team environments

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to relate professionally with customers and colleagues

GEOINT Test Engineer

System Integrator – Junior

Position assists with integration or new and emerging technology and capabilities into Mission Operations.    Strong skills in system integration, requirements management, CONOPS generation, Test, Readiness &Transition Management as well as acceptance process are desired.

  • Bachelor's (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline

  • Domain experience in Intelligence Community (IC), Department of Defense (DoD), or Commercial IT programs

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to facilitate meetings with multi-organizational stakeholders, understanding explicit and implicit deliverables

Required Skills:

  • TS/SCI Clearance (with a current SSBI favorably adjudicated within the last 5 years)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or related STEM degree program

  • 6+ years of professional technical experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including:  DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process or system engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud Environments

  • 4+ years of systems engineering life-cycle, systems integration or systems development experience

  • 3+ years of experience with test management and defect tracking tools

  • 3+ years of experience in increment/service/system/project engineering of intel production workflow services and collection services
